The Blacksmith Collection specialises in hand forged curtain poles and accessories. Founded in 1994 by Daryl Ford, an established blacksmith with a business based on private commissions, the company provides top quality hand forged products with exclusive designs.

In 1996 Daryl invented the first passing ring and bracket system for steel poles. This system is used extensively for bay windows and long straight poles. In 2000 the range was enhanced by the addition of contemporary styles and a polished finish.

The development of forging and finishing techniques for stainless steel led to the launch of Sleek. With many registered designs and its patented flexible bend, Sleek provides many of the benefits of a bespoke pole in a system that you can buy in kit form to make up at home.

Suppliers to quality retail outlets and interior designers for thirteen years, the company launched its mail order business in April 2004 and now concentrates on direct sales.
